International Scholarships for Students from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway

ASSIST connects exceptional Nordic students with top private high schools in North America through competitive, international, one-year scholarships. Our Swedish-based Program Coordinator guides families from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway through the application and interview process, and later serves as a valuable guide as they are expertly placed at a member school. ASSIST's global team also offers comprehensive cultural preparation and support throughout the student's exchange year.

Proces podávání žádostí o stipendia na rok 2026/27

Hledáme především studenty pro umístění v USA Třídy 10 a 11. Máme také omezený počet příležitostí pro výjimečně silné uchazeče, kteří mají zájem o. 12. stupeň nebo postgraduální studium pozice.

Přihlášky na školní rok 2026-27 jsou otevřené. Pro podání přihlášky postupujte podle níže uvedených kroků:

Vyplňte online aplikace a předložte kopii svého akademický výpis prostřednictvím Aplikační portál ASSIST podle 1. prosince. Při podání žádosti je nutné uhradit poplatek $35 USA. Krátce poté prověříme všechny přihlášky a budeme informovat uchazeče, kteří postoupí do dalšího kola.
Zájemci o postup budou muset předložit tři doporučení učitelů, neformální fotografie a krátké prohlášení rodiče nebo opatrovníka. ve stejném aplikační portál. Pokud není vaším mateřským jazykem angličtina, budete navíc vyzváni, abyste se zúčastnili testu Test angličtiny Duolingo. Tyto materiály je třeba předložit co nejdříve, nejpozději však do. 21. prosince. Tyto materiály použijeme k určení našich Finalisté stipendia
Finalisté stipendia budou pozváni na schůzku rozhovor se členy amerického týmu ASSIST v USA. Leden
Finalisté budou oznámeno výsledku v Únor.

Interviews and English Language Testing

Scholarship Finalists will be invited to an interview and asked to complete a Duolingo English Test.

The Duolingo English Test costs $70 USD and must be completed by December 1.

Interviews for Scandinavian candidates will be held in January. A team from the U.S. will interview students in small groups. The interview is fairly informal and is a chance for us to get to know applicants better and help find the right school for each.

ASSIST Scholarships

Každý stipendista ASSIST obdrží stipendium na rok pobytu v zahraničí. Díky tomuto stipendiu získá každý student přístup na přední soukromou americkou střední školu. Studenti se navíc stávají celoživotními členy ASSIST, navazují celosvětové kontakty a připojují se k mimořádné síti více než 6300 úspěšných absolventů.

Stipendia ASSIST Lindfors

Uděluje částečné školné a ubytování a stravu v soukromé severoamerické internátní škole nebo částečné školné v soukromé denní škole a ubytování v americké dobrovolnické hostitelské rodině. Pro stipendisty programu Lindfors Scholars financují členské školy nejméně 50% jeho školného, zbývající školné a poplatek za program ASSIST je zahrnut v poplatku za program The Lindfors Scholarship.

The Kemper Scholar Program (Phillips Academy Andover)

ASSIST is proud to partner with The Kemper Scholar Program at Phillips Academy Andover. Applicants can apply though ASSIST and be considered for ASSIST and Kemper scholarships - all through one ASSIST application.

Students who are awarded the Kemper Scholarship earn the opportunity to study for one year at Phillips Academy Andover, a boarding school in Andover, Massachusetts, as a 12th grade or post-graduate student. Students typically attend Phillips Academy the year after completing high school in their home country.

Students are awarded financial assistance sufficient to meet 100% of a family’s full financial need to study for one year at Phillips Academy Andover. Applicants will be required to complete a financial aid application.

Candidate eligibility requirements include:

Must be a European citizen
Not typically older than 18
Must be eligible to participate as a 12th grade or post-graduate student of Phillips Academy
Must be qualified to obtain a Phillips Academy diploma after successful completion of the academic year
Must NOT have previously studied in an English-speaking country for a semester or more

Upon completion of their year at Phillips Academy Andover, students must return to their home country for at least one year. For this reason, Kemper Scholars are not able to work with Phillips Academy Andover’s college counselors.

Estimated Expenses for Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway Students and Families

Empowering Nordic Students Since 1970

Our work in Sweden began in 1970. Since then, many talented Nordic students have distinguished themselves at American private high schools, benefiting from the opportunities provided through our program.

Purposes of the Scholarships

These scholarships are offered for several important purposes. First, the student gains tremendously and grows in significant ways. Second, we believe that international peace and friendship are advanced when people from different cultures spend significant amounts of time living and learning with one another. Third, the presence of international
students greatly enriches the American schools in which they study.

For these reasons, all scholarships offered are for one year. At the conclusion of the 2026/27 academic year, all students must return to Sweden to complete their secondary education, or to apply to university (with an exception for students placed as 12th grade or postgraduate students). We hope over the following years that you will share what you have learned with friends, family, and fellow students.

Further Study
After spending a year at home, candidates may return to the United States for college or university study. A growing number of our students have taken this route and earned generous scholarships. ASSIST and the independent school attended in the U.S. will support the application with recommendations and advice.
