Neo har tidligere v\u00e6ret udviklingsdirekt\u00f8r p\u00e5 Maru-a-Pula School i Gaborone, Botswana, hvor han havde ansvaret for skolens 50-\u00e5rs jubil\u00e6um i 2022. Neo er oprindeligt fra Botswana og dimitterede fra Maru-a-Pula, f\u00f8r hun gik p\u00e5 The Hill School i Pennsylvania i et \u00e5r efter endt uddannelse. Derefter gik hun p\u00e5 Williams College, hvor hun fik en bachelorgrad i historie og statskundskab med speciale i internationale relationer. Efter college arbejdede Neo i New York City, f\u00f8r hun vendte tilbage til Botswana for at arbejde p\u00e5 Maru-a-Pula som historiel\u00e6rer og derefter som skolens udviklingsdirekt\u00f8r.
