Those awarded the Sanderson Scholarship receive full coverage of tuition and either housing with a volunteer American host family at day schools, or room and board at boarding schools-costs that can total up to $84,000 annually at our member schools. While your ASSIST scholarship covers 100% of your tuition, room, and board, American independent schools typically charge additional fees for incidental expenses (such as textbooks, school supplies, mandatory technology fees, or elective field trips). Applicants are responsible for these school-specific fees. If you have questions about typical school incidentals, please contact your country&#8217;s Program Coordinator.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Can I receive a fee waiver to submit my initial application?<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We understand that the $35 USD application fee can be a concern, but we look at financial accessibility holistically. Even if an application fee waiver or an ASSIST program fee reduction is granted, families must still factor in unavoidable external costs like international flights, U.S. visa fees, and health insurance.
