You have been identified by your school&#8217;s ASSIST Representative as a potential host for one of our remarkable Scholars. Your school&#8217;s ASSIST Rep and all of us here at ASSIST will guide your application process and will serve as an invaluable resource during your Scholar&#8217;s stay.<\/p>\n<h2>\n\t\tStart Your Hosting Journey\n\t<\/h2>\n\t<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Be identified by your school as a potential ASSIST Host Family<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSd40y9KKhAWC70xDo38eMASLp2Ean91aGgQaighXAPYV8nMjQ\/viewform?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Host Family Application and Agreement Form<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Complete a <a href=\"\/schools\/local-representative\/background-check\/\">background check<\/a> (ASSIST will provide password)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Submit two <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSepXME7knmD5Np45J8ehWP8N5ZfjClDZFuFjAyUmsw6Cn-d9Q\/viewform?usp=sharing\">personal references<\/a><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/assistscholars.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Untitled-design.jpg\" alt=\"Smiling American family with their international student who they hosted for her high school year abroad.\" itemprop=\"image\" title=\"Untitled design\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\"  \/>\n\t<p>Contact your school&#8217;s ASSIST representative or Cathy Presnick at <a href=\"mailto:cathy@assistscholars.org\">cathy@assistscholars.org<\/a> for help with any of the above steps.
