Those awarded the Sanderson Scholarship receive full coverage of tuition and either housing with a volunteer American host family at day schools, or room and board at boarding schools-costs that can total up to $84,000 annually at our member schools. While your ASSIST scholarship covers 100% of your tuition, room, and board, American independent schools typically charge additional fees for incidental expenses (such as textbooks, school supplies, mandatory technology fees, or elective field trips). Applicants are responsible for these school-specific fees. If you have questions about typical school incidentals, please contact your country&#8217;s Program Coordinator.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4 tabindex=\"0\">Can I receive a fee waiver to submit my initial application?<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t<p>No, we do not offer application fee waivers. Here&#8217;s why: Even if you were to receive a scholarship from ASSIST covering full tuition, there are still costs associated with participating in our program, such as international flights, U.S. health insurance, and visa costs. So, if the application fee feels difficult, participating in our program will likely not be financially possible in the end.<\/p>\n<p>While we wish we could fund every deserving student regardless of need, we still have more work to do in terms of finding generous donors.
