International Scholarships for Students from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway
ASSIST connects exceptional Nordic students with top private high schools in North America through competitive, international, one-year scholarships. Our Swedish-based Program Coordinator guides families from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway through the application and interview process, and later serves as a valuable guide as they are expertly placed at a member school. ASSIST's global team also offers comprehensive cultural preparation and support throughout the student's exchange year.

Proceso de solicitud de becas 2026/27
Buscamos principalmente estudiantes para prácticas en EE.UU. Grados 10 y 11. También tenemos un número limitado de oportunidades para candidatos excepcionalmente fuertes interesados en Grado 12 o postgrado posiciones.
La solicitud para el curso escolar 2026-27 está abierta. Siga los pasos que se indican a continuación para presentar su solicitud:
- Complete el formulario en línea aplicación y envíe una copia de su expediente académico a través de la Portal de solicitudes ASSIST por 1 de diciembre. Para presentar su solicitud deberá abonar una tasa de solicitud de $35 en EE.UU. Poco después, revisaremos todas las solicitudes e informaremos a los candidatos que pasarán a la siguiente fase.
- Los candidatos deberán presentar tres recomendaciones de profesores, fotos informales y una breve declaración de un padre o tutor en el mismo portal de aplicaciones. Además, si su lengua materna no es el inglés, se le invitará a realizar el Prueba de inglés de Duolingo. Estos materiales se necesitan lo antes posible, pero no más tarde de 21 de diciembre. - Los finalistas de las becas serán invitados a una entrevista con miembros del equipo estadounidense de ASSIST en Enero
- Los finalistas serán notificado del resultado en Febrero.
Entrevistas y pruebas de nivel de inglés
Los finalistas de la beca serán invitados a una entrevista y se les pedirá que completen una prueba de inglés de Duolingo.
El examen de inglés de Duolingo cuesta $70 USD y debe completarse antes del 1 de diciembre.
Interviews for Scandinavian candidates will be held in January. A team from the U.S. will interview students in small groups. The interview is fairly informal and is a chance for us to get to know applicants better and help find the right school for each.

Becas ASSIST

Empowering Nordic Students Since 1970
Our work in Sweden began in 1970. Since then, many talented Nordic students have distinguished themselves at American private high schools, benefiting from the opportunities provided through our program.

Purposes of the Scholarships
These scholarships are offered for several important purposes. First, the student gains tremendously and grows in significant ways. Second, we believe that international peace and friendship are advanced when people from different cultures spend significant amounts of time living and learning with one another. Third, the presence of international
students greatly enriches the American schools in which they study.
For these reasons, all scholarships offered are for one year. At the conclusion of the 2026/27 academic year, all students must return to Sweden to complete their secondary education, or to apply to university (with an exception for students placed as 12th grade or postgraduate students). We hope over the following years that you will share what you have learned with friends, family, and fellow students.
Further Study
After spending a year at home, candidates may return to the United States for college or university study. A growing number of our students have taken this route and earned generous scholarships. ASSIST and the independent school attended in the U.S. will support the application with recommendations and advice.
