International Scholarships for Students from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway

ASSIST connects exceptional Nordic students with top private high schools in North America through competitive, international, one-year scholarships. Our Swedish-based Program Coordinator guides families from Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway through the application and interview process, and later serves as a valuable guide as they are expertly placed at a member school. ASSIST's global team also offers comprehensive cultural preparation and support throughout the student's exchange year.

Postup podávania žiadostí o štipendiá na rok 2026/27

Hľadáme predovšetkým študentov na umiestnenie v USA Triedy 10 a 11. Máme tiež obmedzený počet príležitostí pre výnimočne silných uchádzačov, ktorí majú záujem o 12. stupeň alebo postgraduálne štúdium pozície.

Prihláška na školský rok 2026-27 je otvorená. Ak chcete podať žiadosť, postupujte podľa nižšie uvedených krokov:

  1. Vyplňte online aplikácia a predložte kópiu svojho akademický výpis prostredníctvom Portál aplikácie ASSIST podľa 1. decembra. Na podanie žiadosti je potrebné uhradiť poplatok $35 USA. Krátko po tom, čo všetky podané žiadosti skontrolujeme, budeme informovať uchádzačov, ktorí postúpia do ďalšieho kola.
  2. Záujemcovia o postup budú musieť predložiť tri odporúčania učiteľov, neformálne fotografie a krátke vyhlásenie rodiča alebo opatrovníka v tom istom aplikačný portál. Okrem toho, ak váš rodný jazyk nie je angličtina, budete vyzvaní, aby ste absolvovali Duolingo English Test. Tieto materiály sú potrebné čo najskôr, najneskôr však do 21. decembra.  Tieto materiály použijeme na určenie našich Finalisti štipendia
  3. Finalisti štipendia budú pozvaní na rozhovor s členmi amerického tímu ASSIST v Január
  4. Finalisti budú oznámené výsledku v Február.

Interviews and English Language Testing

Scholarship Finalists will be invited to an interview and asked to complete a Duolingo English Test.

The Duolingo English Test costs $70 USD and must be completed by December 1.

Interviews for Scandinavian candidates will be held in January. A team from the U.S. will interview students in small groups. The interview is fairly informal and is a chance for us to get to know applicants better and help find the right school for each.

ASSIST Scholarships

Každý štipendista ASSIST dostane štipendium na rok strávený v zahraničí. Toto štipendium poskytuje každému študentovi prístup na poprednú súkromnú americkú strednú školu. Okrem toho sa študenti stávajú celoživotnými členmi ASSIST, vytvárajú si celosvetové kontakty a pripájajú sa k výnimočnej sieti viac ako 6 300 úspešných absolventov.

Empowering Nordic Students Since 1970

Our work in Sweden began in 1970. Since then, many talented Nordic students have distinguished themselves at American private high schools, benefiting from the opportunities provided through our program.

K dnešnému dňu absolvovalo tento transformačný výmenný rok v Severnej Amerike viac ako 6 300 štipendistov z viac ako 62 krajín a pripojilo sa k našej globálnej sieti absolventov.

Purposes of the Scholarships

These scholarships are offered for several important purposes. First, the student gains tremendously and grows in significant ways. Second, we believe that international peace and friendship are advanced when people from different cultures spend significant amounts of time living and learning with one another. Third, the presence of international
students greatly enriches the American schools in which they study.

 

For these reasons, all scholarships offered are for one year. At the conclusion of the 2026/27 academic year, all students must return to Sweden to complete their secondary education, or to apply to university (with an exception for students placed as 12th grade or postgraduate students). We hope over the following years that you will share what you have learned with friends, family, and fellow students.

 

Further Study
After spending a year at home, candidates may return to the United States for college or university study. A growing number of our students have taken this route and earned generous scholarships. ASSIST and the independent school attended in the U.S. will support the application with recommendations and advice.
