After ASSIST

Of course! After completing high school in their home country, many ASSIST Scholars return to the U.S. to earn undergraduate and/or graduate degrees at prestigious American colleges and universities.

ASSIST alumni are leaders, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, artists, scientists, public servants, and changemakers around the world. They are highly accomplished in their fields, but what makes the network especially distinctive is their commitment to service, connection, and giving back. Many continue to support ASSIST by mentoring Scholars, hosting events, interviewing candidates, connecting with schools, and strengthening the global community that helped shape them.

Our alumni network is one of the most meaningful and lasting benefits of the ASSIST experience. Long after Scholars complete their exchange year, they remain part of a global community of talented, accomplished, and community-minded individuals who share a deep connection to ASSIST and to one another.

ASSIST alumni stay connected through events, regional gatherings, volunteer opportunities, and personal relationships that often last for decades. Each year, alumni receptions are held in the United States and in many countries around the world, giving alumni, Scholars, families, school partners, and friends of ASSIST the opportunity to gather, reconnect, and celebrate the program’s impact.
