Program Fee Reduction Opportunities

ASSIST is committed to making its program accessible to families from a wide range of financial backgrounds. Admission is based on merit, but financial assistance is available based on need.

An ASSIST program fee, set by the ASSIST Board of Directors, is charged to the family of each successful candidate. This fee contributes to the cost of ASSIST's work on behalf of Scholars, both in America and around the world. It also covers:

  • a multi-day, in-person orientation program
  • access to a worldwide network of over 6,000 alumni
  • support throughout the year

The program fee for the '26-'27 school year is listed on each country's page

Supporting Access for Deserving Students

ASSIST is dedicated to making its transformative program accessible to talented students worldwide, regardless of financial background. While families are expected to contribute toward participation costs, need-based Program Fee Reductions may be available for applicants who demonstrate genuine financial need. These reductions are made possible through the generous support of individuals and partners who believe in educational opportunity and global citizenship.

Confidential and Fair

Students who are selected for the program and apply for aid will be considered for program fee reductions. ASSIST carefully reviews each financial aid application to determine a family's demonstrated need. This process is thorough, confidential, and designed to ensure that support is provided fairly. Our goal is to ensure that no qualified student is unable to participate in the program due to financial circumstances.

Next Steps

To be considered, students must first complete the general ASSIST application, which is now open. The application for fee reductions will be released on the application portal (for countries where fee reductions are currently available) in September.

Please note: Reductions are not guaranteed, and awards vary based on demonstrated need and available funding. ASSIST encourages qualified, committed students to apply if cost is a concern.
