Markus and his family’s ties to ASSIST span generations. He and his four sisters were all ASSIST Scholars, and their children are continuing that tradition as the next generation of Scholars. His father played an important role in the organization’s growth, serving for many years as the leader of Friends of ASSIST in Germany and as a member of the ASSIST Board of Directors from 1997 to 2005.
Dr. Markus Wiedenmann is the Founder and CEO of Art-Invest Real Estate, an institutional real estate investor and developer active across major gateway cities in Europe. Prior to founding Art-Invest, he spent eight years at Tishman Speyer, where he most recently served as Managing Director. He studied construction engineering at RWTH Aachen University and went on to earn his doctorate from the University of Leipzig. From 2022 to 2024, Dr. Wiedenmann served as Chairman of the Urban Land Institute Germany.
In addition to his professional pursuits, Markus and his family are also engaged in managing their own forestry business.
