Cathy brings a keen awareness of international education to the ASSIST Board, thanks to her years living with her husband and children in the Netherlands and to her own experience studying abroad. For many years, she chaired the Washington ASSIST Chapter, led the 50th Anniversary Task Force and currently serves as chair of the Governance Committee. Cathy graduated from Earlham College, studying for a year at the Université de Toulouse. A high school summer with the Experiment in International Living ignited Cathy’s passion for international education. Cathy led the Parent’s Association at Washington International School, where she served as a member of the ASSIST Steering Committee. Cathy also serves on the Board of Trustees of Colby College. With her husband Tom, she spends her time in South Carolina, Maine and Washington D.C.
