Year appointed: 2016

In ASSIST, Louisa has found an important home for her many talents by serving on the Governance Committee, Messaging and Host Family Task Forces, and as co-chair of the Admissions Advisory Council. Louisa’s background in teaching and in leading independent schools, and her service as a board member at multiple independent schools and school associations has given her the depth of understanding ASSIST needs to work most effectively with independent schools to accomplish our mission. Louisa graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Arts and Education. She went on to teach art at the Montgomery School, to serve as Director of Admission and Financial Aid at the Oregon Episcopal School, and then to serve as Director of Admission and Financial Aid, Academic Advisor, International Student Advisor, and Crew Coach at St. Andrew’s School in Delaware over the course of twenty years. Louisa currently lives in Wakefield, RI with her husband, Harvey.
