“Through the ASSIST core values, I learned the power of philanthropist and how it can create intellectually diverse youthful minds to transform the world positively. As someone born and raised in Somaliland, I never dreamed of attending one of the best independent schools for girls in the United States, however, the ASSIST scholarship and its donors showed me to always dream big. And because of that, I am currently working with some of the Somali youth to find scholarship opportunities. Not only that, from the ASSIST and Miss Hall’s school family, I learned how collective efforts and solidarity can create a positive and inclusive environment.”
